Teen & Child Therapy

When your teen struggles, you feel it, too.

You know your teen, so when something shifts, you notice.

Maybe they’ve become anxious, withdrawn, irritable, overwhelmed, or explosive.

Perhaps school is a battle, friendships feel fragile, or social media is under constant pressure.

They’re quietly carrying more than they should.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

I work with children (5–12) and teens (13–21) navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, identity exploration, bullying, divorce, grief, behavioral challenges, and emotional dysregulation.

Young nervous systems are still developing. Traditional ‘sit and talk’ therapy is often not enough.

My approach is holistic and integrative, blending trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, somatic tools, CBT strategies, attachment-based work, and age-appropriate clinical hypnotherapy.

The goal isn’t to fix your child. It’s to help them feel safe in their body, understood in their emotions, and equipped to handle life with resilience.

Parent sessions are available to help you understand what’s happening beneath the behavior, strengthen the connection, and respond with confidence, while still preserving your child’s safe therapeutic space.

Big feelings occur in little bodies.

Children don’t always have the words to explain what they’re feeling. Sometimes anxiety looks like stomach aches. Sadness looks like anger, and overwhelm shows up as defiance or withdrawal.

Your child isn’t trying to be difficult; they’re trying to communicate.

Through play-based techniques, creative expression, nervous system regulation, and gentle skill-building, I help younger children ages 5-12 understand their emotions, build confidence, and feel safe again.

Parents are included in the process so you feel equipped at home – without blame or shame.

Teens and children benefit from therapy.

Whether children (teen or child) feel safe, connected, and understood, their behavior naturally shifts.

If your teen or child is struggling, even quietly, early support makes a difference.

Don’t let things escalate. Schedule a free consultation, and let’s talk about how to help your teen or child feel steady and strong again.

Telehealth and in-office sessions are available.
